My name is Daniel Wiegand and I am a Person-Centred counsellor. I have worked for many years as an honorary therapist and volunteer for the LGBTQ+ community both here in London and in New York City. I gained my counselling qualifications in Person-Centred Therapy in London and then I further studied Focusing-Oriented Therapy in New York City. I have a particular interest and experience in supporting people who live far from home and the issues of belonging that can bring. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am bound by their Ethical Framework.
I offer a safe and supportive space where you can share with me your feelings and experiences that you may not be able to share elsewhere. Working in a person-centred way, I will offer you empathy, acceptance and warmth as you explore what has brought you to counselling. My philosophy is that it is this relationship between us, our connection; that can help and heal. The people I have worked with have come to me for help with issues including:
Stress and anxiety.
Relationships.
Depression.
LGBTQ+ issues.
Gender issues.
Supporting the elderly.
Self-esteem
